Grow a sign shop that runs without running you.
Straight-talk consulting from the owner who grew his own shop, SignMeUp, into 9 franchised locations across 3 states — and now helps owners systemize and grow.
Today's sign shop owner is fighting on every front.
You didn't open a sign shop to spend your nights chasing quotes and your weekends covering for people who quit. Sound familiar?
Margins are getting squeezed
Material and substrate costs keep climbing while customers push back on price. If you're not sure which jobs make money, you're flying blind.
The shop can't run without you
Every decision routes through you. Take a week off and the wheels wobble. There's no system — just you, holding it together.
Quoting is slow & inconsistent
Estimates take too long, pricing shifts depending on who's at the desk, and leads go cold while they wait for a number.
Hiring & keeping good people
Skilled installers, fabricators and designers are hard to find and harder to keep. Training falls on you, and turnover resets it all.
Leads are unpredictable
Some months are slammed, some are silent. Your marketing is whatever you got to that week — not a repeatable engine.
No clear path to grow
You want a second location, more product lines, or simply more profit — but you can't scale a business you can't measure.
A 4-step model that tells you exactly where you stand.
Built from years of franchising my own shop. Each week we work through one segment and score it red, yellow, or green — so you always know whether it's time to get to work, or time to celebrate.
This is the proven model I train owners to follow — when they implement it, we see them thrive.
1. Marketing
Attract the right prospects with a repeatable, measurable lead engine — not feast-or-famine.
2. Execution of Leads
Respond fast and quote consistently so the leads you worked for don't slip away.
3. Sales
Turn quotes into closed jobs with pricing and a process that protects your margin.
4. Execution of Jobs
Deliver the work efficiently and profitably — clean workflow, on time, done right.

Sign shop consulting, answered.
What does a sign shop consultant actually do?
I help you run the business behind the signs — pricing for real margin, turning leads into booked jobs, building a repeatable sales process, and creating systems so the shop runs without depending on you for every decision. We work through it on a proven 4-step model: marketing, execution of leads, sales, and execution of jobs.
How do I make my sign shop more profitable?
Most shops leave money on the table in four places: underpriced jobs, weak lead follow-up, an inconsistent sales process, and production that runs through the owner. We score each area every week, fix the biggest leak first, and protect your margins as the shop grows.
How much does sign shop coaching cost?
There are three ways to work together: Slack support at $99/month for quick answers, weekly coaching at $597/month (four 60-minute Zoom calls, KPI reviews, and Slack access), or a one-time 2-hour consult for $400.
How do the weekly coaching calls work?
They are weekly, on the same day and time, and run a full 60 minutes on Zoom using the EOS Level 10 (L10) format. Each week we work through a part of your 4-step model and leave plenty of room to surface and solve whatever is blocking you — from accounting and hiring to SOPs and lead generation.
Do you only work with sign shops near you?
No — coaching happens over Zoom and Slack, so I work with sign and print shop owners across the country. You do not have to be local to get hands-on help.
I'm great at making signs but not at running the business. Can you help?
That is exactly who this is for. Being a great sign maker and running a profitable sign business are two different skills. I learned that the hard way building my own shop — and now I hand owners the playbook so they can skip the expensive mistakes.
How is this different from joining a sign franchise?
You keep your own name, brand, and independence. I help you build the things a franchise sells you — pricing structure, repeatable processes, accountability, and growth systems — without franchise fees or giving up control of your shop.
